On Friday 22nd March 2019 Sister Norah Mitchell and Brother Raymond McIntosh accompanied by Mr Brian Willis representative for Masonicare presented cheques totalling $4,500.00 for the Kidzwish Foundation to go towards the development of new premises at Flinders, Shellharbour.
The new premises will include 6 therapy rooms, 1 music & dance studio, 1 multi purpose sports hall, office administration rooms, covered play area and even a magic cupboard full of toys. Sister Susan McIntosh and Sister Lois Allen were also present.
Over 50,000 kids throughout the Illawarra and South Coast have been helped by KidzWish since its foundation and over 130 different conditions supported annually. These numbers are predicted to double in the next 5 years.
The services offered include, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Music/Dance/Sports/Experience Programs and the KidzWish Children’s Christmas Party.
It is hoped the building will be completed by the end of 2019.
Sister Norah Mitchell and Brother Raymond McIntosh chose to take part in the ‘Buy a Brick’ campaign which will give the Illawarra DG Committee and Masonicare a personalised Brick on the Noah Southall Memorial Wall and ultimately assist the funding towards the new premises.
